One of the most controversial and defining moments of the BMX series, BMX XXX created a repution for itself that is sure to remain for some time.

Quite possibly the most controversial and explicit game ever created for a home video game console is now available on Nintendo GameCube. The big question is does this freestyle BMX game live up to all the hype surrounding it?
Yes and no, personally while playing BMX XXX I consistently found myself rolling on the floor laughing, certain comments like, "I'm surrounded by FU*KING morons," and other similar phrases just never get old. The in-game nudity features topless female riders, and un-lockable FMV's of Scores strippers. The best way to describe this game is BMX meets Howard Stern, South Park, and Baywatch.
The graphics in BMX XXX are very 2 sided. On one side every level is huge, and filled with everything from cars, trains, and other cyclists to bums, prostitutes, and city workers that pick up dog crap. Every level features a variety of different ramps, tunnels, grind rails and other obstacles. Every level varies significantly, which is another plus, and everyone looks good.
On the other side, the character models are actually quite blocky, and simply put don't look too good. The models do not seem proportionate, and their legs make them look like they could squat three or four hundred pounds if they were real. One plus about the character models, that I got a kick out of, is when you select a female biker, her breasts will actually jiggle with every turn and jump. Collision detection could use some tuning, you'll occasionally ride right through a hot dog stand, person, or the edge of a ramp. Overall, however, the game runs very smoothly at all times.
The un-lockable FMV's of Score's strippers suffer from some blurriness, but the content makes up for it. The blurriness is not that bad, but definitely noticeable over DVD quality cinema.
This game controls pretty much exactly like Dave Mirra's BMX does. It's based off tricks, combos, and missions. No level is timed, but individual missions are, and each run is based on your health meter. The fact there is no level timer is a good feature; it allows you to become familiar to each level before you attempt any missions. At first tricks are pretty difficult to pull off, but after awhile they come pretty naturally.
The number of missions per level is astounding. You must complete a certain amount of mission before moving on to the next level. Each mission will most likely take you at least 2 tries to get. This gets very frustrating. For example, in the first level you have to pick up a pink poodle from a pimp, and deliver it to the city worker who picks up crap in the park. However, after watching the intro to the mission, which is very humorous, you are expected to go and find the poodle, BUT there is no directions, and because of the large levels, is very difficult.
Like many extreme sports games, as you go further on in the game you unlock cinemas. Unlike normal extreme sports games these cinemas are not of extreme crashes or tricks, but instead hot Score's strippers taking off their clothes. The further you go the more extreme the videos get, and the more the girls reveal.
Does this shirt make me look fat?
Like any extreme sports game, this game has a lot of replay value. You can play over and over to unlock new secrets, and beat it with different characters. The humor may get old to some, but for college aged people, it won't, and you will laugh over and over again. This game has a couple things college males just can not get enough of, boobs and bathroom humor.
